THE OPPORTUNITY:

SITE SUPERINTENDENT – ESQUIMALT, BC

Aragon Properties Ltd. is seeking a Site Superintendent with at least 7-10 years’ experience to provide supervision and management at the site level. You will directly supervise assistants, foremen, subcontractors, and other construction related staff while being responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of work to deliver project milestones on time and within budget.  You will be working with an award-winning developer on the construction of a 177 unit condominium located in Esquimalt, BC.

The successful candidate must have thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction with a proven ability to supervise and manage complex construction projects.

WHAT YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Prepare a schedule the project and review with the project manager to finalize timelines.
  • Carefully control costs in all aspects of the project.
  • Thoroughly review project drawings prior to and during construction.
  • Be responsible for all site safety requirements including adherence to Worksafe regulations and Aragon’s Safety Policy.
  • Maintain a detailed daily log of all site activities and provide it daily to the Owner.
  • Directly supervise, schedule, and direct site personnel including labourers, assistants, foremen etc. to maximize efficiency and value while keeping labour costs as low as possible.
  • Manage and direct subcontractors while being responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of the work in order to deliver project milestones on time and on budget.
  • Chair weekly trade meetings to review schedule and deal with major issues.
  • Manage and coordinate all site activities including deliveries, inspections, field reviews etc.
